My Fine Art Portfolio

I just recently finished shooting and editing my Fine Art portfolio.

My portfolio is a collection of images that are monochromatic in square format. However, each image has been emphasized by the reintroduction of color in either the form of selective coloring, duotone or tinting the image. The beauty, simplicity and subjectiveness of my images encourage the viewer to look past the image itself and attempt to understand the calm yet mysterious nature of the images, and to question themselves as to why certain elements of the images were selected. I didn’t just work to create appealing photos, I also wanted the viewer to take something away from the gallery that they may not have previously experienced; whether it be an emotion, memory, or just the simple enjoyment of visual satisfaction, I wanted to impact the life of the viewer permanently and have them think in a new way.

now how about that introduction? haha tell me what you think...

It's been awhile

It's been a while since I've made a new post. I really need to hop on that. I've had so much going in my life lately, good and bad, that I felt like I was just too overwhelmed. I need to change things up and one of those things is to start posting and writing more. I need to upload more photos, give updates on things, and I'm also gonna try a new thing of posting lyrics to a song each day (i hope so) that relate to a particular emotion or event going on. Consider this Post One of the new beginning. :]

"Nineteen"
by Tegan & Sara

I felt you in my legs
Before I even met you
And when I layed beside you
For the first time
I told you,
"I feel you in my heart,
And I don't even know you."
Now we're saying
Bye, bye, bye

I was nineteen
(Call me)

I felt you in my life
Before I ever thought to
Felt the need to lay down
Beside you
And tell you
"I feel you in my heart,
And I don't even know you."
And now we're saying
Bye, bye, bye

Now we're saying
Bye, bye, bye

I was nineteen
(call me)

Flew home,
Back to where we met
Stayed inside
I was so upset.
I cooked up a plan,
So good except
I was all alone
You were all I had
Love you
You were all mine
Love me
I was yours right.

I was yours right.

I was nineteen
(call me)

I was nineteen
(call me).

This song reminds me of so many things that are dear to my heart.
